The first Hydrogen fuel cell bus in Mexico originated from Foton.

On 28th February, FOTON presented its diversified transport solutions at the 16th Expo Foro Movilidad in Mexico.

Organised by Mexico's National Chamber of Passenger and Tourism Transport, the exhibition, with over 20,000 exhibitors, aims to provide more efficient, sustainable and resilient solutions for local passenger and tourism motor transport.

At the exhibition, FOTON launched the HC12 hydrogen fuel cell bus, which is the first bus in Mexico to adopt this clean and efficient technology, redefining Mexico's transport standards and representing a milestone on the road to sustainable development of the country's automotive industry.

With a length of 12 metres and a seating capacity of 49 passengers, the HC12 features a 120kW fuel cell engine and a 35MPa hydrogen system, with a range of up to 550 kilometres, 400 kilometres of which are powered by hydrogen and 150 kilometres of which are powered by electricity. It is zero-emission and pollution-free, featuring high environmental adaptability, high safety and low hydrogen consumption, and is suitable for medium- and long-distance passenger transport, high-end tourism and group operations.

In addition to the revolutionary hydrogen fuel cell bus, FOTON is also showcasing the diversity and sophistication of its energy sources and technologies, including the 9-metre C9 natural gas bus, the 18-metre articulated C18 natural gas bus, the 10-metre C10 electric bus, the electric VIEW, the electric Hi-VAN and other clean energy and green energy vehicle products. In addition, with the help of this exhibition, Foton released chassis products for front-engine buses ranging from 8 metres to 12 metres to meet the needs of the Mexican market. These vehicles, which are already in operation, offer local passengers flexibility, convenience and comfort while reducing public transport pollution emissions, providing a wider range of sustainable and efficient solutions for mobility in Mexico.

Under the global trend of 'decarbonisation', FOTON has independently researched and developed and mastered the core technology of 'three electrics', and realised the development of multiple routes of new energy technologies such as pure electrics, hybrids, hydrogen fuel cells, etc., which cover the whole series of commercial vehicles and accelerate the green transformation of the global logistics and transportation industry. At present, Foton's overseas new energy products have covered 45 countries and regions around the world, including Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and South America.

FOTON will continue to lead the construction of green and sustainable transport through advanced technology and perfect after-sales service, providing residents with a healthier environment and better quality of life while meeting the growing demand for energy saving and environmental protection in cities.
